Loyola Montessori School celebrated the Graduation Day for its Montessori-II students on Sunday, marking the children's first major milestone in their primary education journey. The ceremony was graced by Rev Fr Joseph Raj, principal of St Mary's Academy in Patna, who served as the chief guest.

The event was presided over by the school's principal, Rev Bro Johnson V George, and vice-principal, Rev Bro Aogyam. During the function, certificates were awarded to the young graduates, symbolizing their successful completion of this foundational educational phase.

Xavier University Hosts Grand Annual Day 2026

Xavier University in Patna celebrated its Annual Day 2026 with great enthusiasm at Kalam Hall. The chief guest for this prestigious occasion was N K Agrawal, Director of Higher Education for the Government of Bihar.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional arrival of guests, followed by the university anthem and a symbolic lamp-lighting ritual. Distinguished guests of honor included Fr A Christu Savarirajan, principal of St Michael's High School Patna; Chancellor Fr Vimal Kishore; Rector Rev Fr Joseph Sebastian; Vice-Chancellor Rev Fr Martin Poras; and Registrar Fr Sherry George.

Vice-Chancellor Fr Martin Poras presented the comprehensive annual report, highlighting the university's key achievements during the 2025-2026 academic year. He underscored the institution's unwavering commitment to student-centred learning, innovation, and the Jesuit values of excellence, service, and integrity.

Chancellor Fr Vimal Kishore offered profound reflections on leadership, humility, and the transformative power of education. In his keynote address, Chief Guest N K Agrawal emphasized the critical importance of innovation, research, and ethical responsibility in contemporary higher education.

Fr Christu Savarirajan stressed the need for transformative education that effectively integrates technology and creativity. The ceremony included felicitations for outstanding students, with Ankita Singh from the BBA IB program receiving the prestigious 'Student of the Year' award. Additional honors were presented for excellence, inspiration, Samvedna, and best club performance.
