Prayagraj Ramps Up Security Measures for UP Board Examinations

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Board High School and Intermediate examinations commencing on February 18, the district administration in Prayagraj has implemented stringent security protocols to guarantee a transparent and orderly examination process. In a decisive move, authorities have classified 8 examination centers as highly sensitive and an additional 11 as sensitive, significantly enhancing surveillance and protective arrangements across the region.

List of Highly Sensitive Examination Centers

The administration has identified the following institutions as highly sensitive centers, necessitating elevated vigilance:

  • Ram Lakhan Mishra Inter College, Jaswan Baraut
  • Fateh Bahadur Singh Inter College, Hata Manda
  • Sitaram Yadav Inter College, Ranipur Sirsa, Dhanupur
  • Shri Bhola Nath Ram Sukh Patel Inter College, Kashipur Soraon, Dahiyawan
  • Dr Kailash Nath Singh Inter College, Pahadi Kala, Naudhiya Uparhar, Shankargarh
  • Jameel Hasan Inter College, Nindura, Lal Gopalganj
  • Adi Shakti Jwala Devi Inter College, Baya Bela Mundi, Lalapur
  • Shri Ram Charan Yadav Inter College, Dhodhri, Koudhiyara

Comprehensive Administrative Framework Deployed

This security escalation follows a preparatory meeting for the board exams, chaired by District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma at a local school on Wednesday. District Inspector of Schools PN Singh elaborated on the organizational structure, revealing that Prayagraj has been segmented into 3 super zones, 8 zones, and 33 sectors to streamline oversight.

To enforce integrity, zonal and sector magistrates have been stationed, complemented by static magistrates at all 333 examination centers. Furthermore, the administration has constituted 8 flying squads and assigned 8 sub-divisional magistrate-rank officers to supervise question paper logistics and conduct unannounced inspections.

Advanced Monitoring and Legal Enforcement

All examination centers are now interconnected with both district- and state-level control rooms, enabling real-time monitoring to swiftly address any irregularities. In a critical procedural step, sealed packets of question papers will be dispatched to centers under police protection on February 13, ensuring their security from distribution points to examination halls.

District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma emphasized the administration's unwavering commitment to conducting cheating-free and disruption-free examinations, aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directives. He issued a stern warning that any instances of unfair means will result in severe consequences under the Prevention of Unfair Means Act, 2024, including the registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) against violators.

This multi-layered strategy underscores Prayagraj's proactive approach to safeguarding the sanctity of the UP Board exams, aiming to foster a fair academic environment for all students.
