Rajasthan Board Class 10 and 12 Examinations Kick Off Today
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has officially launched its annual board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 on February 12, 2026. This significant academic event marks the beginning of a crucial period for thousands of students across the state.
Day One Sees Massive Student Participation
On the inaugural day, over 40,000 students are set to appear for their papers, setting a robust start to the examination season. In total, 44,707 students have registered for these board exams, which are being conducted in offline mode at 139 examination centres throughout Rajasthan.
Exam Schedule and Timings
The RBSE Class 10 examinations will continue until February 28, 2026, while the Class 12 exams are scheduled to conclude on March 11, 2026. Each paper has a duration of three hours and 15 minutes, with exam timings fixed from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. Students were permitted to enter the centres starting from 8:15 am to ensure a smooth and timely commencement.
Enhanced Security and Anti-Cheating Measures
This year, the board has introduced several new steps to bolster integrity and transparency in the examination process. Key measures include:
- The sealed question paper envelope must be opened in the presence of two student witnesses after obtaining due signatures, adding an extra layer of accountability.
- Answer booklets for most subjects now feature barcodes to streamline tracking and reduce errors, with exceptions for Hindi and English papers.
Authorities have implemented comprehensive anti-cheating protocols at all centres, with instructions issued well in advance to both students and staff. In Ajmer, specific arrangements were made ahead of the first paper, where 127 Class 10 students appeared for the English exam across seven schools.
Context with Other Board Exams
Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to begin its Class 10 and 12 board examinations from February 17, 2026. The CBSE had released its final date sheet in October 2025, following a tentative schedule issued in September to aid preparation. The board has planned these dates carefully to avoid clashes with major competitive examinations, ensuring students can focus without conflicts.
As the RBSE exams progress, students, parents, and educators are closely monitoring the proceedings, hopeful for a smooth and fair assessment process that upholds academic standards across Rajasthan.
