Index Medical College Launches Three-Day Orientation for 2025 PG Batch in Indore
A comprehensive three-day orientation programme was successfully organised at the Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, specifically designed for the Postgraduate (PG) students of the 2025 batch. This initiative aimed to thoroughly introduce the newly admitted students to the academic environment, institutional rules, and the extensive hospital services available at the facility.
Interactive Sessions and Motivational Addresses
The programme commenced with an interactive introduction session where students shared their academic backgrounds, specialisations, and future aspirations. Faculty members provided detailed briefings on the institution's academic culture and discipline, setting a strong foundation for the students' journey.
On this significant occasion, Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman of the Mayank Welfare Foundation, along with Vice Chairman Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, delivered motivational speeches. They encouraged the students to advance with dedication, discipline, and a spirit of service, emphasising the importance of focusing on studies to become capable and responsible doctors who prioritise patient care and contribute positively to society.
Emphasis on Modern Medical Education and Clinical Training
Addressing the gathering, Dean Dr. Sanjeev Narang highlighted that the institution offers modern medical education supported by excellent clinical training and advanced healthcare infrastructure. He stated that postgraduate students receive guidance from experienced faculty members and have ample opportunities for research and clinical exposure.
Dr. Narang emphasised that during their postgraduate training, students must actively participate in patient care, strictly adhere to medical ethics, and contribute to research work. Medical Superintendent Dr. Swati Prashant also addressed the students, reiterating that patient care and quality treatment remain the highest priorities at the hospital. She advised PG students to understand the hospital's working system and always consider service to patients as their foremost responsibility.
Introduction to Institutional Functioning and Healthcare Initiatives
Executive Director Dr. G. S. Patel briefed the students on the functioning and regulations of the college and hospital. He also informed them about various government healthcare initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, highlighting the institution's alignment with national health policies.
Professor of Surgery Dr. Rahul Tanwani explained that the three-day orientation programme was structured to help students understand different departments, academic activities, and hospital services of the institution. This comprehensive overview ensured that students are well-prepared for their academic and professional roles.
