Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan's Playful Banter Reveals Bollywood Nostalgia
Akshay-Farah's Fun Banter Sparks Bollywood Nostalgia

Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan recently came together for a promotional video celebrating the OTT release of 'Bhooth Bangla', joined by Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav. The conversation quickly turned nostalgic, reflecting on their early years in the entertainment industry.

Recalling Farah's journey before she became a celebrated choreographer and filmmaker, Akshay mentioned seeing her in dance competitions. Farah, who directed Akshay in 'Tees Maar Khan', was playfully teased by him. “I know Farah very well. She used to compete for Rs 5,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 10,000,” Akshay said during the chat on Netflix India's YouTube channel. Farah promptly corrected him, “No. Don’t lie like this. We used to get Rs 1,000.”

Akshay praised her dancing skills, remembering her frequent appearances at a famous Mumbai nightclub. “And she was an amazing dancer. There was a place, a disco called Xanadu. And she used to go there,” he added. Farah then turned the tables, joking about Akshay's personal life. “And he used to come with, every week, one new girlfriend,” she said. Akshay denied it, saying, “Don’t lie. No, no.” Farah persisted, “He used to bring only one girlfriend.”

The actor retaliated with his own jest: “She used to change partners.” Laughing, Farah remarked, “Why this has become about my life, I don’t understand.” Akshay cheekily responded, “Because I know about you.”

The duo also revisited Akshay's memorable appearance in Farah's 2007 blockbuster 'Om Shanti Om'. Akshay joked about an action sequence where he throws a gun and catches it near his pelvis. “The fight scene she has taken. Where I throw the gun up and then I catch it here,” he gestured. “And I fire it. Vulgar woman. I kept on screaming, ‘Don’t take it.’” Farah laughed and defended herself, saying, “Who told me to shoot the scene from behind?” Akshay replied, “I didn’t say it.”

'Bhooth Bangla' is now streaming on Netflix, featuring a cast that includes Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi, among others.
