The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has firmly rejected allegations that the Tamil film "Jana Nayagan" was leaked from its certification system, labeling such claims as "baseless and misleading." In a statement issued on Saturday, the board emphasized that its certification process follows a highly secure, access-controlled protocol designed to prevent unauthorized access to film content.

"Without a valid KDM, the content cannot be accessed or viewed," officials stated, underscoring that the board does not retain independent access once the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) is handed over to the applicant.
Specifically for "Jana Nayagan," the CBFC confirmed that the DCP was formally handed over to the applicant in Mumbai on March 17 with due acknowledgement. The board asserted that the DCP has remained with the applicant since that date, effectively ruling out any possibility of a breach at its end.
