Ranbir Kapoor Explains ARKS Brand Name Origin

Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has finally put an end to the swirling online speculation about the name of his fashion brand, ARKS. In a candid revelation, the actor explained the thought process behind the brand's identity, clarifying that it's not an acronym of family names as many fans had assumed.

The Truth Behind the ARKS Moniker

In a video featured on the brand's official YouTube channel, Ranbir Kapoor offered a tour of his factory and addressed various questions. When probed about the brand's name, he shared its evolutionary journey. The brand initially started with footwear, leading to the first interpretation: 'A Ranbir Kapoor Shoe'. This later evolved into 'Ranbir Kapoor Studio'. However, the actor ultimately reached a personal conclusion about the name's significance.

"It had different meanings to it," Kapoor stated. He expressed that he eventually realized the name doesn't necessarily require a deep, literal meaning. "I think it just fits. When we heard ARKS and saw the logo, everything just came together," he explained, emphasizing the brand's organic and intuitive naming process.

Kapoor's Packed Cinematic Slate

Beyond his entrepreneurial venture, Ranbir Kapoor's acting calendar is brimming with high-profile projects. His next major screen appearance will be in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic romance, 'Love and War'. The film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, has faced some production delays. Consequently, the makers are now targeting a release window between June and August of this year. Reports indicate that both Ranbir and Vicky will portray air force pilots in this much-anticipated drama.

The Magnum Opus: 'Ramayana'

In another landmark role, Ranbir Kapoor is set to embody Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's cinematic adaptation of the epic 'Ramayana'. This magnum opus features an ensemble cast with Sai Pallavi playing Goddess Sita and Yash taking on the role of the antagonist, Ravana. The supporting cast includes powerhouse performers like Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.

The ambitious project will be released in two parts. The first installment is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, with the second part following a year later in Diwali 2027. This dual release strategy highlights the scale and narrative breadth of the production.

Ranbir Kapoor continues to balance his acting prowess with his business acumen, keeping fans engaged both on and off the silver screen. His clarification about ARKS provides a glimpse into the actor's creative mindset, while updates on his films promise a thrilling cinematic journey for audiences in the coming years.
