Anne Hathaway's Empowering Message on Motherhood and Post-Birth Weight Loss

In a previous Instagram post addressing her followers, the 'The Devil Wears Prada' actress advocated for embracing weight gain and all body types. She shared a photo of herself in denim overalls with a caption that read, 'There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).'

Discussing how natural it is for bodies to change and grow, she added, 'There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer's are just too dang short for this summer's thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It's all love (don't let anyone tell you otherwise).'

The post was shared just a few months after she gave birth to her first son, Jonathan Rosebanks, with Adam Shulman. That same year, she appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', where she spoke about her newfound confidence and appreciation for her curves.

During the interview, she said, 'If somebody says, 'I had a baby 13 years ago,' you say, 'You look great.' That's what you do. That is the etiquette. So I say to this guy, 'I had a baby seven weeks ago.' And he goes, 'Oh, trying to lose the baby weight?'' She also shared that initially, she felt awkward about going to the gym after giving birth, but she overcame those feelings. She added, 'I walk in, I'm like, 'Yeah, I work out with 5 lb. weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body, I feel good right now.''

On the Work Front

Anne Hathaway last appeared on the big screen in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'. She also starred in 'Mother Mary', a thriller OTT film released for online streaming. Now, she is preparing for the release of her latest film, 'The End of Oak Street', a science fiction thriller about a neighborhood transported back in time to the world of dinosaurs.
