The wait for Arjun Das's action thriller Con City is finally over. After skipping a theatrical release, the film is heading straight to digital platforms. The makers have officially confirmed that Con City will premiere on Netflix on August 15, 2026.
Direct-to-OTT Release Strategy
According to the production house, the decision to bypass cinemas was taken to reach a wider audience directly. The film, which was originally slated for a theatrical run in July, will now be available for streaming in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Plot and Cast
Directed by debutant Karthik Naren, Con City follows the story of a con artist who gets entangled in a dangerous web of crime in a futuristic city. Arjun Das plays the lead role, with supporting performances by Anjali Nair, Samuthirakani, and R. Sarathkumar. The film's music is composed by Ghibran.
In a statement, Arjun Das said, “It’s an edge-of-the-seat thriller that we are excited to release on Netflix. The platform gives us the opportunity to connect with audiences across the globe.”
Streaming Details
Netflix has listed Con City with a runtime of 142 minutes and a U/A 16+ rating. The film will be available from 12:00 AM IST on August 15, 2026. Subscribers can add the title to their watchlist ahead of the premiere.
