HBCH&RC Punjab, ESIC Haryana MoU: Cashless Cancer Care

In a significant move to enhance access to affordable cancer care, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH&RC) in Punjab has been empanelled with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) of Haryana for the first time. This collaboration enables ESIC Haryana beneficiaries and staff to receive cashless treatment at both the New Chandigarh and Sangrur campuses of the institute.

Memorandum of Understanding Signed

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized by Dr. Ashish Gulia, Director of HBCH&RC Punjab, and Hari Om Prakash, Regional Director of ESIC Haryana. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abhishek Rai, State Medical Officer of Haryana, along with officials from both organizations. HBCH&RC is a unit of Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute of the Department of Atomic Energy.

Expanding Empanelment Network

HBCH&RC Punjab is already empanelled with ESIC Punjab, ESIC Chandigarh, ESIC Ludhiana, and ESIC Himachal Pradesh. Between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, approximately 3,000 ESIC cardholders received cashless treatment at HBCH&RC Punjab, reflecting growing trust in the institute's specialized cancer care services.
