Lucknow witnessed a vibrant Sunday morning as residents stepped out in large numbers for Happy Streets at Sukoon by Pardos Okas. The event created a dedicated space for fitness, recreation, and community bonding. With roads opening up for various activities, people of all age groups came together to enjoy a mix of movement, music, and engagement, offering participants a chance to start their day on an active and interactive note.
Morning Activities and Sessions
The morning began with a yoga session led by Mahima Kashyap, setting a steady and calming tone for participants. This was followed by an energetic zumba session conducted by Anand and Arpita Bhutani, where attendees joined in stretching and dancing to popular tracks like 'Kala chashma' and 'London thumakda'. A magic show by Anand drew significant attention, especially among children, with interactive acts that captivated the young audience.
Lucky led a fitness dance session that encouraged free participation, while host RJ Shadab kept the audience engaged throughout the event. A tug of war activity saw active participation, adding a competitive element that further energized the crowd.
Chief Guest's Remarks
Chief guest Partha Sarthi Sensharma, additional chief secretary of UP basic and secondary education department, emphasized the importance of such initiatives. He stated, “People should make time for such initiatives as these platforms encourage healthier lifestyles and also help build a sense of community, especially important for the younger generation.”
Participant Experiences
Army officer Rohit Kumar attended the event with his parents and enjoyed the positive atmosphere. He shared that while his parents took part in the yoga session, he played football, highlighting that there was something for everyone in the family. He added that such gatherings bring different generations together and act as a break from daily routine, helping reduce stress.
Dr. Neha Srivastava, who came with her family to spend summer vacations, expressed her delight. She said, “I am here with my family to spend summer vacations and a Sunday like this feels perfect for children, as both my kids enjoyed the activities, especially pottery and face painting. It was a good break for them and for us as well. I and my husband joined the cycling and zumba sessions together and it was a refreshing experience for the whole family.”
