On June 21, 2026, the Border Security Force (BSF), Rajasthan Frontier, organized extensive yoga sessions at multiple border outposts (BOPs) along the India-Pakistan International Border in Rajasthan to mark International Yoga Day. The events were conducted under the guidance of Rajasthan Frontier Inspector General M.L. Garg, with BSF personnel participating in yoga exercises and being educated on the significance of yoga in daily life.
Theme and Participation
The celebrations aligned with the 2026 theme, “Yoga for Healthy Aging.” BSF officers, jawans, and women personnel enthusiastically joined the sessions, which included Surya Namaskar, Anulom-Vilom, Kapalbhati, and various other yoga postures and breathing exercises. Official sources reported that International Yoga Day was observed with great enthusiasm along the international border near Jaisalmer.
Leadership and Organization
Under the direction of DIG Jatinder Singh Binjhi (BSF Jaisalmer Sector North) and DIG M.L. Negi (BSF Jaisalmer Sector South), collective yoga sessions were held, showcasing the force’s commitment to health and wellness. A special yoga camp was organized on the shifting sand dunes near the border, led by Commandant Vipin Nayak. Personnel performed yoga practices amidst the scenic desert landscape, creating an inspiring spectacle of soldiers practicing on the sandy terrain.
