Lakkhi Phalgun Fair Kicks Off at Khatushyamji with Grand Celebrations

The annual eight-day Lakkhi Phalgun fair dedicated to Baba Shyam has officially begun at Khatushyamji in Sikar, Rajasthan, starting this Saturday. The event has attracted thousands of devotees from across the region, who have gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings during this auspicious period.

Administrative and Security Measures Implemented

To manage the large influx of visitors, the district administration has meticulously organized the fair area by dividing it into nine distinct sectors. This strategic division aims to streamline crowd control and enhance the overall experience for attendees. SP Praveen Nayak Nunawat and fair magistrate Monika Samour are actively overseeing the security and administrative arrangements, conducting continuous reviews to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.

Temple Committee's Arrangements and Decorations

The Shri Shyam Temple committee has taken extensive steps to cater to the needs of devotees. They have set up facilities for drinking water, snacks, and shaded areas to provide comfort during the festivities. Temple committee treasurer Ravi Singh Chauhan highlighted that Baba Shyam was adorned beautifully with white and blue flowers as devotees offered darshan. Additionally, temple committee secretary Manvendra Singh Chauhan revealed that the temple was decorated in the style of the 12 Jyotirlingas, a project executed by 120 skilled Bengali artisans, adding a unique spiritual ambiance to the event.

Safety Protocols and Equal Access Initiatives

In a move to prioritize safety, the route from Ringas to Khatushyamji has been declared a no-vehicle zone. This measure is designed to prevent accidents and facilitate better crowd management. Moreover, officials have announced that VIP darshan has been completely prohibited this year. This decision ensures that all devotees have equal access to the deity, promoting fairness and inclusivity during the fair.

The combined efforts of the district administration and temple committee reflect a commitment to making the Lakkhi Phalgun fair a memorable and secure experience for everyone involved.
