External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, addressing the Annual Regional Passport Officers’ Conference in Delhi, stated that global appreciation for Indian talent is growing rapidly. He referenced his recent visit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the G7 Summit, France, and Slovakia as evidence of this trend. Jaishankar noted that countries across Europe increasingly value India's skilled workforce.

Jaishankar praised the Passport Seva Programme Version 2.0, describing it as a transformative initiative that has redefined global mobility for a Viksit Bharat. He emphasized that a passport is much more than a travel document; it is a vital tool for economic mobility, international trade, and national identity.
India as 'Vishwa Bandhu'
The minister further said that India's growing stature as a 'Vishwa Bandhu' has enhanced the respect and confidence associated with the Indian passport globally. He stressed the need to ensure that obtaining a passport remains a right and not a struggle for citizens. Jaishankar's remarks highlight the increasing recognition of Indian talent on the world stage and the importance of efficient passport services in facilitating global mobility.
