Tripura MP Advocates for High-Speed Rail Link Between Agartala and Guwahati
In a significant parliamentary address on Friday, Rajib Bhattacharjee, the sole Rajya Sabha Member from Tripura, passionately urged the introduction of a high-speed train service connecting Agartala and Guwahati. Despite these advancements, the MP pointed out a glaring omission: the absence of a direct train service between Agartala and Guwahati. Both cities serve as vital hubs in the northeastern region, yet passengers must endure indirect routes or longer travel times. Bhattacharjee stressed that this gap hampers efficient movement and limits opportunities for growth.
