Udaipur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express Launched with Modern Amenities
The Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express was officially flagged off at Udaipur station on Monday, marking a significant enhancement in passenger convenience and connectivity. The inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent political figures and railway officials, including Mannalal Rawat, MP from Udaipur, C P Joshi, MP from Chittorgarh, and divisional railway manager Raju Bhutada.
Enthusiastic Public Reception at Dungarpur
The new rail service received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the public at Dungarpur station, where it was also flagged off by MP Udaipur Mannalal Rawat and MP Dungarpur Rajkumar Raut. The event was attended by assistant commercial manager Rajkumar Swarnakar, along with other railway officials and employees, highlighting the collaborative effort behind this launch.
State-of-the-Art Facilities on Board
This Vande Bharat Express is equipped with eight modern coaches designed to provide a comfortable and secure travel experience. Passengers can enjoy a range of advanced facilities, including:
- Automatic sliding doors for easy access
- Comfortable reclining seats for relaxation
- CCTV surveillance ensuring safety
- Charging points for electronic devices
- Catering services for refreshments
The train features seven air-conditioned chair car coaches and one executive air-conditioned chair car class coach, catering to diverse passenger needs.
Operational Schedule and Stoppages
The new rail service will operate as regular train numbers 26963/26964, known as the Udaipur City-Ahmedabad (Asarwa)-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express. It will run six days a week, with services suspended on Tuesdays, starting from February 18.
Train 26963: Departs from Udaipur City at 6:10 AM and arrives at Asarwa (Ahmedabad) at 10:25 AM.
Train 26964: Departs from Asarwa at 5:45 PM and reaches Udaipur City at 10:00 PM.
The service will include stoppages at key stations such as Zawar, Dungarpur, and Himmatnagar, improving connectivity across the region.
