Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2025-26 Wraps Up in Chandigarh

The valedictory ceremony for the Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2025–26 was held today at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Regional Centre, Sector 12, Chandigarh. This significant five-day event was meticulously organised by MY Bharat Chandigarh, operating under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Key Dignitaries and Participants

The ceremony was graced by Dr Nemi Chand, who served as the NSS State Liaison Officer for the Chandigarh Administration, as the chief guest. Dr K Girishan, head of the Department of Public Administration at RGNIYD, was honoured as the guest of honour. The programme saw active participation from 37 delegates hailing from Madhya Pradesh, fostering inter-state cultural and social exchange.

Vibrant Cultural Showcase

During the closing event, delegates from Madhya Pradesh presented a series of captivating cultural performances, highlighting the rich heritage of their state. Adding to the festive atmosphere, MY Bharat volunteers and students from DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, performed traditional folk dances, creating a vibrant tapestry of India's diverse cultural landscape.

Objectives and Impact

This youth exchange initiative aimed to:

  • Promote national integration and unity among youth from different states.
  • Encourage cultural understanding and appreciation through direct interaction.
  • Provide a platform for young delegates to share ideas and experiences.
  • Strengthen the network of youth organisations under the MY Bharat umbrella.
