The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the next phase of the Common Seat Allocation System for Postgraduate (CSAS-PG) Admissions 2026, providing fresh applicants and registered candidates with new opportunities to participate, upgrade seats, or correct application details.
Upgrade Window Opens June 30
Candidates who confirmed admission by paying the fee in the first or second allocation round can choose between 'Freeze' or 'Upgrade' options from 10:00 AM on June 30 to 4:59 PM on July 1. According to the university, only those who accepted their allotted seat and are eligible for an upgrade may use this facility. Candidates who already received their first preference or selected 'Freeze' are not eligible for an upgrade.
Mid-Entry and Correction Window July 2-4
DU will open the Mid-Entry and Correction Window from 10:00 AM on July 2 until 4:59 PM on July 4. This window allows fresh applicants who missed earlier registration deadlines to apply by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000. Registered candidates can also edit eligible fields, including eligibility details. However, the category can be changed only once; candidates who already used this option cannot modify it again.
Third Allocation List on July 6
The third round of CSAS-PG seat allocation, along with the first allocation list for performance-based programmes (MFA, MA Music, B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed.), will be announced on July 6. The allocation list for supernumerary quotas under Children/Widows (CW), Sports, and Ward categories will be declared on July 7.
Seat Acceptance and Fee Payment
Candidates allotted seats in the third round and performance-based programmes must accept seats between July 6 and July 9 (up to 4:59 PM). Those admitted under CW, Sports, and Ward quotas can accept seats from July 7 to July 9. Departments and colleges will verify applications until July 10, and the last date for admission fee payment is July 11 (4:59 PM).
Additional Rounds Possible
The university indicated that more CSAS-PG admission rounds may be conducted if seats remain vacant after the third allocation, giving eligible candidates further opportunities to secure admission.
