Khattar Chairs DISHA Meeting in Panipat
Union Minister for Power Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at the mini secretariat in Panipat. He emphasized that every official must ensure the benefits of the Central government's welfare schemes reach the last person in society. Addressing officials, he stated that any negligence in implementation would not be tolerated.
During the meeting, Khattar reviewed the progress of various development and public welfare schemes implemented by different departments. He stressed that the objective of all schemes is to deliver benefits to citizens in a transparent, effective, and timely manner. The minister directed officials to regularly review the schemes and achieve their targets within the stipulated time frame.
Focus on Ambulance Services
Khattar also suggested formulating and implementing an effective policy for ambulance services. He highlighted the need for timely assistance to needy patients and urged officials to ensure that the ambulance network functions efficiently.
The DISHA committee meeting was attended by senior district officials, including the Deputy Commissioner and other departmental heads. The minister took stock of ongoing projects and instructed the officials to expedite work in areas such as health, education, and infrastructure.
Zero Tolerance for Negligence
Khattar warned that any laxity in the execution of government schemes would be met with strict action. He reiterated the importance of accountability at all levels. The Union Minister's visit to Panipat is part of a series of review meetings to monitor the implementation of central schemes across the state of Haryana.
According to a press release, Khattar specifically reviewed the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat scheme. He instructed officials to maintain transparency and ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
