New Provision for Married Men Under Parivar Pehchan Patra
The Haryana Government has introduced a significant change in the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) system, offering relief to newly married men who were automatically added to their in-laws' Family ID during marriage registration. Under the revised rules, these individuals can now be re-linked to their original family's ID, ensuring their records are restored to their birth family.
PPP State Coordinator Dr Satish Khola confirmed that the provision will benefit thousands of families across the state and resolve practical issues arising from the previous system. He stated that newly married men whose names were included in their in-laws' Family ID for any reason can now have their records corrected.
Process for Grievance Submission
To avail of this facility, individuals must visit the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in their respective district and submit a formal grievance. Dr Khola explained that the complaint will be registered on the PPP portal through a Field Coordinator or Programmer. After verification of the case details, the ADC will approve the request, allowing the re-linking of the individual to his original Family ID.
Dr Khola further clarified that if the individual's wife and children are registered under a separate Family ID, they can be linked to his original Family ID after approval. Similarly, if the wife and children are included in the in-laws' Family ID, all family members will be transferred together and linked to the individual's original Family ID.
Impact on Thousands of Families
This revision is expected to address long-standing issues where married men faced difficulties accessing government schemes or benefits due to being listed under their in-laws' household. The move simplifies administrative processes and ensures accurate family records under the PPP system.
