Indian Railways to Introduce Fruit and Juice Bars at Key Stations in Prayagraj Division

In a significant initiative to boost passenger amenities, Indian Railways has announced plans to open fruit and juice bars at several key railway stations. The Prayagraj division of North Central Railways will spearhead this effort by establishing these stalls at five major stations simultaneously.

Stations Selected for Fruit and Juice Bars

The tender process has been initiated for setting up fruit and juice bars at the following stations:

  • Prayagraj Junction
  • Kanpur Anwarganj
  • Firozabad
  • Phaphund
  • Manikpur

These units will be allotted for a period of five years, ensuring long-term availability of healthy food options for travelers.

Multi-Purpose Stalls for Essential Items

In addition to the fruit and juice bars, multi-purpose stalls will be set up at nine other stations to provide passengers with essential daily-use items. The stations include:

  • Aligarh
  • Vindhyachal
  • Etawah
  • Mirzapur
  • Fatehpur
  • Tundla
  • Phaphund
  • Kanpur Anwarganj

This dual approach aims to cater to both nutritional needs and convenience for passengers across the division.

E-Auction Schedule and Bidding Process

The e-auction process for these units is scheduled to commence on February 11. Bidding for different categories will be completed on February 12 and 13, facilitating a smooth and transparent allocation of stalls.

Official Statement on Passenger Comfort

Prayagraj Division PRO Amit Kumar Singh emphasized that continuous improvements are being made to enhance passenger comfort. He stated, "The facility of fruit and juice bars at railway stations will provide passengers with high-quality, healthy food and beverage options, contributing to a better travel experience."

This initiative reflects Indian Railways' commitment to upgrading amenities and promoting wellness among passengers, aligning with broader efforts to modernize railway services.
