Kaithal DC Reviews Development: 276 of 405 CM Projects Done

Deputy Commissioner Aparajita chaired a review meeting on Wednesday to assess the progress of 405 announcements made by the Chief Minister for Kaithal district. According to data presented, 276 projects have been completed, 84 are underway, 18 have not yet been initiated, and 27 have been declared non-feasible.

DC Directs Timely Implementation

The Deputy Commissioner instructed all department officials to treat the CM's announcements with utmost seriousness and warned that any negligence in execution would not be tolerated. She emphasized that work on pending projects must begin immediately, and ongoing projects should be expedited to ensure public benefit.

Expressing concern over slow progress in certain areas, Aparajita issued a show-cause notice to the District Sports Officer for the delay in starting construction of the proposed Judo Hall in Songal village. She also directed officials to complete the land acquisition verification process for the Cheeka City to Patiala Road bypass project at the earliest.

Infrastructure and Education Projects Reviewed

The DC instructed the concerned department to coordinate with its headquarters regarding the proposal to rename Pundri-Dhand Road as Guru Brahmanand Marg and ensure an early resolution. She also sought feedback on the proposed Women's College, water supply project, and drainage system in Dhanauri village. Officials informed her that a revised map for the college had been requested, but the final drawing from the Architecture Department was still awaited.

During the review of the CCTV camera project in Fatehpur Pundri, officials reported that tenders had been opened on June 23. The DC directed them to begin work without delay.

Field Verification Ordered

Other projects reviewed included the construction of a hall and e-library at Dhanouri, Sanskrit University, LUVAS Centre at Keorak, and the road project from Guhla to Chanchak. To verify the actual status of these projects on the ground, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Shivani Panchal has been assigned the task of conducting field visits and submitting reports.
