Kolkata: The state plans to convert all bus stands in the city into solar-powered digital bus stands, install digital hoardings on three stretches in Kolkata, and impose fines for spitting and urinating in public.

Digital Hoardings on Key Streets

“We are introducing digital hoarding on Park Street, Camac Street and Theatre Road. They will be set up in a way that revenue leakage will be zero,” state urban development & municipal affairs minister Agnimitra Paul said on Friday.

Paul said that two such digital hoardings have been installed at the Park Street-Wood Street intersection and near Vardan Market. World Cup matches will be shown on the screens on weekends, the minister added.
