The Punjab Government has announced that regular office timings of 9 am to 5 pm will be restored for all state government departments, boards, corporations, and institutions across Punjab and Chandigarh starting July 1. The decision marks the end of the temporary summer schedule that had been in place since May 25.

Temporary Summer Schedule Ends June 30

A government spokesperson confirmed that office hours had been temporarily shifted to 7:30 am to 1:30 pm from May 25 due to the summer season. This temporary schedule will remain in effect until June 30. From July 1, offices will return to the standard routine of 9 am to 5 pm.

Impact on State Employees and Services

The restoration of regular timings is expected to benefit state employees and streamline public services. The spokesperson stated that the decision was made to align with the post-summer period, ensuring consistency across departments.
