The Sri Chamundeshwari Kshetra Development Authority (SCKDA) is set to implement a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to maintain cleanliness atop Chamundi Hill in Mysuru. Authority Secretary Roopa stated that the move aims to improve sanitation around the temple premises.
Additional Staff Deployed
Currently, the SCKDA has a team of 40 staff members dedicated to cleaning the temple area. To further enhance cleanliness efforts, an additional 25 staff members are being deployed. This increase in workforce is expected to ensure better upkeep of the hilltop surroundings.
The new SOP will outline specific guidelines for waste management, cleaning schedules, and maintenance protocols. Roopa emphasized that the authority is committed to providing a clean and hygienic environment for devotees and visitors.
These measures come as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the sanctity and cleanliness of Chamundi Hill, a prominent religious and tourist destination in Karnataka.
