In a significant move to enhance convenience for devotees, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of an unreserved express special train between Hosapete and Tholahunse. This service is specifically tailored to accommodate pilgrims attending the renowned Shri Kottureshwara Jatre at Kottur, a major religious festival in the region. The special train will run for six consecutive days, providing a dedicated transportation option for the expected influx of visitors.

Detailed Schedule and Halts for the Special Train

The Hosapete-Tholahunse train will operate from February 10 to February 15, covering a total of six trips during this period. Departing from Hosapete at 11:30 AM, the train includes brief one-minute halts at multiple key stations along the route to ensure efficient travel. The scheduled stops are as follows: Tungabhadra Dam at 11:40 AM, Vyasanakeri at 11:52 AM, Vyasa Colony at 12:03 PM, Mariyamanahalli at 12:14 PM, Hampapatnam at 12:30 PM, Hagribomanahalli at 12:46 PM, Malavi at 12:57 PM, Kotturu at 1:15 PM, Bennehalli at 1:33 PM, Harapanahalli at 1:48 PM, Teligi at 2:08 PM, Amaravathi Colony at 2:29 PM, Davanagere at 2:38 PM, with the final arrival at Tholahunse scheduled for 3:15 PM.

Conversely, the return journey from Tholahunse to Hosapete will also run from February 10 to February 15, comprising six trips. This train departs Tholahunse at 5:30 PM and features one-minute halts at Davanagere at 5:40 PM, Amaravathi Colony at 5:50 PM, Teligi at 6:12 PM, Harapanahalli at 6:32 PM, Bennehalli at 6:48 PM, Kotturu at 7:15 PM, Malavi at 7:32 PM, Hagaribommanahalli at 7:54 PM, Hampapatnam at 8:05 PM, Mariyammanahalli at 8:16 PM, Vyasa Colony at 8:27 PM, Vyasanakeri at 8:38 PM, and Tungabhadra Dam at 8:51 PM, concluding its journey at Hosapete at 10:00 PM. The train configuration includes eight general second-class coaches, ensuring ample seating capacity for passengers.

Regulation and Rescheduling of Other Trains Due to Engineering Works

In related railway updates, due to essential engineering and safety-related works between Hubballi and Unkal stations, several train services will experience adjustments. Specifically, train No. 17310, the Vasco Da Gama-Yesvantpur Daily Express, with its journey commencing on February 11, will be regulated for 30 minutes en route. Additionally, train No. 12726, the Dharwad-KSR Bengaluru Siddaganga Daily Express, starting its journey on February 12, will be rescheduled by 60 minutes from Dharwad. These measures are implemented to prioritize passenger safety and infrastructure maintenance, with authorities advising travelers to check for updates to avoid inconvenience.
