UP Police Home Guard Exam 2025: Massive Security Arrangements for 25 Lakh Candidates

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has finalized a comprehensive security plan for the Home Guard Enrolment 2025 written examination, scheduled from April 25 to 27. This initiative aligns with the Yogi government's commitment to conducting transparent and cheating-free recruitment processes.

More than 25.32 lakh candidates will appear for the examination across 1,053 centers in two shifts. The recruitment drive aims to fill 41,424 posts of home guards in the state.

Security Measures at Examination Centers

Board Chairman Director General SB Shiradkar stated that nodal officers of the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police or Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police have been appointed in every district to ensure the integrity of the examination. At all centers, one inspector or sub-inspector has been deployed for every 240 candidates. Strict screening will be conducted at entry gates using handheld metal detectors. Female candidates will be checked in enclosed spaces by female police personnel.

Question Paper Security

Question papers are stored in treasuries under a double-lock system, with keys held by different officials. The strong rooms are equipped with 24-hour electricity, internet connectivity, and fire safety systems. A route map has been prepared for transporting question papers to centers, and rehearsals have been conducted by sector magistrates. Photography during transportation is completely prohibited.

Sanitization and Surveillance

All examination centers have been thoroughly sanitized. Inspections of rooftops, corridors, grounds, and washrooms have been carried out to ensure no electronic devices or prohibited materials are hidden. Continuous CCTV surveillance will be maintained at all centers and strong rooms.

Allowed Items and Prohibitions

Candidates are allowed to bring only their admit card, identity proof, and a black or blue pen. Any type of watch, mobile phone, Bluetooth device, or other electronic equipment is strictly prohibited inside the examination centers. Room invigilators have been instructed to strictly enforce seating arrangements and discipline.

Additional Arrangements

Special police arrangements have been made at railway stations and bus stands for crowd management during the examination. UP-112 vehicles and ambulances will be deployed around examination centers to handle any emergency situation promptly. Social media will also be closely monitored to prevent the spread of rumors.

Aadhaar-Based e-KYC Process

DG Shiradkar emphasized that to ensure a cheating-free and transparent examination, candidates will have to undergo an Aadhaar-based e-KYC process before entering the examination center. This step adds an extra layer of verification to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process.
