A 14-year-old student from Class 9 was discovered dead in a forested area near Bhatti Mines in New Delhi on Wednesday, according to officials. The body of the teenager was found in the national capital, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident, as reported by news agency ANI.
Based on preliminary findings, police indicated that the victim may have been strangled. The exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.
Separate Incident in Uttar Pradesh
In a tragic event in Uttar Pradesh, a 7-year-old child who had been missing since May 2 was found dead in a maize field on May 5. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), East Hardoi, Subodh Gautam, stated that a complaint regarding the child's disappearance was registered at Mallawan police station. Police formed two teams to trace the child and investigate the case. After three days of searches, the child's body was recovered from a maize field. Police and forensic teams inspected the spot and collected evidence. The body was later sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Drowning Incident in Ballia
Earlier, on May 3, four children drowned while taking selfies in the Ganga River near Shivrampur Ghat in Ballia district. According to the Ballia District Magistrate, the children had crossed the designated safe bathing zone before the incident took place.
