In a significant crackdown on illegal liquor trade, the Chautham police in Khagaria district seized a large consignment of alcohol during a raid on Tuesday. Acting on specific intelligence, a police team intercepted an SUV and recovered 212 litres of illicit liquor. The operation took place in Paharchak village under the jurisdiction of the Chautham police station.

Police Action Based on Tip-Off

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Kumar stated that the successful raid was the result of a precise tip-off received by the department. A dedicated police team, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Ajit Kumar, was swiftly mobilized to act on the information. The team strategically intercepted the suspected vehicle, an SUV, which was found to be transporting the large quantity of liquor.

Occupants Flee, Vehicle Impounded

Although the police successfully intercepted the SUV and seized the illegal consignment, the individuals inside the vehicle managed to escape from the scene under the cover of the ongoing operation. Despite the escape of the suspects, the police managed to secure the vehicle used in the transportation. The SUV has been seized by the Chautham police as part of the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings.
