Three constables of the Gurugram Traffic Police have been awarded appreciation certificates by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Delhi Zonal Unit, for their critical role in a major narcotics trafficking investigation. The recognition highlights the growing integration of modern surveillance technology in law enforcement operations.
Constables Honored for Technical Assistance
Constables Netaram, Aman, and Ashwani, deployed at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), provided vital technical support to the NCB. They assisted in tracking a suspect vehicle and analyzing CCTV footage, which significantly advanced the probe. The NCB's letter of appreciation commended their "outstanding services."
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Prateek Gahlot honored the three personnel and praised their dedication, technical expertise, and teamwork. He noted that the use of the ICCC and modern technology enables the Gurugram Traffic Police not only to manage traffic but also to support serious crime investigations in coordination with other agencies.
Impact on Crime Investigation
The prompt and accurate technical assistance provided by the constables was instrumental in the investigation's progress. According to police officials, the collaboration between the traffic police and the NCB demonstrates the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation. DCP Gahlot stated that the city's traffic police will continue to serve with commitment and professional excellence to ensure public safety and contribute to crime control.
This recognition underscores the importance of CCTV analysis and real-time vehicle tracking in modern policing. The ICCC, which serves as a central hub for surveillance and data analysis, has become a key tool for law enforcement agencies in the National Capital Region.
