Investigation Findings

Preliminary investigation revealed that Chhabra was in constant contact with gangsters Doni Bal and Ekam UK. These handlers would make extortion calls and direct their associates to fire at victims' premises to instill fear. Further probe exposed Bhardwaj's involvement in a firing incident near BNS Fashions in Santokhpura on June 12, where his associate Kush had already been arrested. His role also emerged in another firing on May 29 at Hio village in Banga, Nawanshahr.

Ongoing Efforts

Police are making efforts to apprehend two other accused involved in these incidents. The arrests are part of the 'Gangstran te War' campaign by the Jalandhar Commissionerate to curb organised crime.
