In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Bihar Police made a major seizure of narcotics in East Champaran district on Wednesday. Acting on specific intelligence, a police team intercepted a truck coming from Nepal near the Raxaul border area.

The police operation led to the recovery of a staggering 423 kilograms of ganja from a secret chamber concealed within the truck. According to authorities, the seized contraband has an estimated value of Rs 5 crore in the international market, highlighting the scale of the illegal operation.
Cross-Border Trafficking Operation
Raxaul Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Manish Anand revealed crucial details about the smuggling attempt. The truck had crossed the international border from Nepal with this substantial consignment, which was reportedly destined for delivery to a recipient in Muzaffarpur.
The police have seized the truck used in the smuggling operation and arrested the driver, identified as Sanjay Sah. Sah is a resident of Kaleya in Nepal's Bara district, confirming the cross-border nature of this drug trafficking network.

Authorities have registered a case and launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the broader network behind this smuggling operation. The police are particularly focused on identifying the intended recipient in Muzaffarpur and any other individuals involved in the trafficking chain.
