70-Year-Old Man Found Murdered in Patna Village

The body of a 70-year-old man, Balmiki Prasad, was recovered early on Saturday morning from Malhipur Bind Tola in Kaswa Diara, under the jurisdiction of Maranchi police station in Patna. Upon receiving information, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kundan Kumar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer I of Barh Ram Krishna, and local police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene.

Preliminary Examination Points to Murder

The SDPO stated that a preliminary examination suggested the man was murdered under suspicious circumstances on Friday night. An FSL team, dog squad, and technical experts were called to the location. The crime scene was fully secured, and all possible technical and human evidence was meticulously collected from the site.

“Upon examining the crime scene, it appears that he was murdered by some individuals under suspicious circumstances. Action will be taken by exploring all the angles. Meanwhile, the family members have filed an FIR against unknown persons,” Krishna said.

Formal Case Registered

A formal case has been registered at Maranchi police station based on the FIR lodged by the deceased’s family members against unidentified accused. Police have launched a detailed investigation and are working on all possible leads to identify and arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Authorities are exploring multiple angles, including personal enmity and possible robbery, as motives behind the crime. The dog squad and forensic experts have collected samples from the scene for analysis. Meanwhile, local residents have been asked to provide any information that could help in the investigation.
