The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has dismissed Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's explanation regarding a controversial video as baseless, accusing him of fabricating yet another story to avoid punishment from the Akal Takht.
Soon after the CM claimed his innocence, the Akali Dal alleged that Mann resorted to forgery by cloning the TikTok account of his old associate Jagman Samra and posting a fake video to give himself a clean chit.
Press Conference Revelations
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, senior SAD leader Parambans Singh Romana displayed both the original TikTok account of Jagman Samra and a cloned account containing a fake video of Samra holding a mask of Mann. According to Romana, the video in question shows Mann committing blasphemous acts against the Guru Sahiban.
“First, Mann said the video was generated by artificial intelligence. When top laboratories in the country disproved that, he started claiming the person in the video was not him,” said Romana.
Questions Over Forensic Reports
Romana questioned why Mann had not sent the video for examination to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh. Instead, he alleged that the CM sent a team of police officers to procure a “fake” favorable report from a lab in Gurugram. “When the Gurugram police busted the racket involved in procuring fabricated forensic reports, Mann introduced a new theory to mislead people,” Romana added.
Self-Goal by CM
Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia stated that Mann had committed a self-goal by changing his version on the video. Demanding action against police officials involved, Majithia said that once a case is registered against them, the entire conspiracy would be exposed.
