In a disturbing incident late on Thursday night, a group of armed youths unleashed chaos in Ludhiana's Janakpuri area, vandalizing several vehicles and creating a public ruckus. The entire episode was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the locality.
Sequence of Events
According to local residents, around 10:15 pm, a group of young men armed with sharp weapons arrived on a street in Janakpuri. An argument soon erupted between them and another individual, escalating into a physical scuffle. The altercation then moved to a different street, where the miscreants engaged in a violent exchange of bricks and stones with another youth. Subsequently, they turned their aggression on parked vehicles, causing significant damage.
Police Response and Investigation
Residents alleged that the police arrived at the scene late. However, authorities collected the CCTV footage from the area. SHO (Central) Jasbir Singh confirmed that the footage shows approximately five individuals vandalizing property. “We have started the investigation into the matter,” he stated. The police are now analyzing the footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.
