Prayagraj: A man was arrested in Pratapgarh for allegedly posting objectionable comments against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on a social media platform, police said on Friday.

Details of the Arrest

The accused, identified as Ashok Mishra alias Puttan Mishra, a resident of Poore Vijai Mazre Rajapur village, reportedly used abusive language and wrote objectionable comments against Adityanath on his social media account on Thursday, according to police officials.

Legal Action Taken

A senior officer confirmed that Mishra has been booked under sections 352 and 351 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and subsequently sent to jail.
