A 40-year-old auto rickshaw driver died on Wednesday, a day after he was allegedly assaulted by his neighbors in Bengaluru's Nagarabhavi area. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the victim, identified as Ramesh, got into a heated argument with his neighbors over a parking dispute.
Incident Details
The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the neighbors allegedly beat Ramesh with iron rods and wooden logs. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
Police Action
The Nagarabhavi police have registered a case and arrested two suspects, identified as Suresh and Mahesh. They have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder. Further investigation is underway.
Ramesh, a father of two, was the sole breadwinner of his family. His death has left his family in shock and grief. Neighbors expressed outrage over the incident, demanding strict action against the accused.
The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted and the guilty will be punished. They have also appealed to the public to resolve disputes amicably and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
