Bihar ATS conducts anti-terror mock drill at Patna high court

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Bihar Police conducted a high-intensity mock drill on Saturday inside the Patna High Court premises, transforming the typically calm judicial complex into a simulated crisis scene to evaluate its readiness in handling serious security threats.

Simulated Terror Scenario

The drill centered on a gripping live simulation of a terror situation. The scenario depicted five armed terrorists hijacking a bus carrying Indian scientists near Fatuha in Patna, prompting a coordinated response from the ATS. The exercise showcased trained sniffer dogs, rapid commando action, and strategic coordination, culminating in the swift neutralization of the terrorists by ATS personnel.

Formal Opening and Dignitaries Present

The program began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented to Chief Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo, setting a formal tone before the dramatic demonstration unfolded. Several judges of the Patna High Court, members of its registry, and Advocate General P K Shahi were present during the exercise. Senior police officials, including ADG (ATS) Pankaj Kumar Darad, SP (ATS), and SSP Patna, along with other officers, also attended the event.
