Burglars Loot Rs 8.6 Lakh from Jamnagar Home

A 43-year-old provision store owner from Jamnagar has lodged a police complaint after unidentified burglars allegedly broke into his house and stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 8.6 lakh while his family was away.

Incident Details

According to the complaint filed at the C Division police station, the complainant, Naran Kandoriya, a resident of Yadav Nagar, had gone with his family to a water park near Jambuda Patiya on Saturday. They left home in the morning and returned around 5 pm.

Discovery of the Burglary

Upon returning, the family found that a room lock had been broken and the door was open. Household items were strewn around the room. The cupboard lock had also been broken.

Police reported that cash worth Rs 8.3 lakh and a gold ring valued at Rs 30,000 were missing from the premises.

Legal Action

A case has been registered against an unknown person under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are underway to identify the culprits.

This incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and security measures in residential areas, especially when families are away for extended periods.
