In a crime that sends shivers down the spine, echoing the brutality of the infamous Meerut "Blue drum murder," a gruesome killing has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district. A woman is accused of conspiring with her lovers to murder her husband, chop his body into pieces, and dispose of them across multiple locations in Chandausi.
A Grisly Discovery on Patraua Road
The horrific case came to light on December 15, when severed human body parts, packed in polythene bags, were discovered near the Idgah on Patraua Road in the Chandausi region. Police officials stated the body was mutilated with extreme cruelty, with the head, hands, and legs all chopped off.
Initial identification posed a major challenge for investigators because the victim's head was missing. However, a critical breakthrough came when police noticed the name "Rahul" engraved on one of the severed arms. This clue led them to identify the deceased as Rahul (40), a shoe trader and resident of Chunni locality in Chandausi.
Wife's Complaint Raises Suspicion
The investigation took a dramatic turn when police discovered that Rahul's wife, Ruby, had filed a missing persons report for him on November 18. During questioning, inconsistencies in her statements immediately raised red flags. Utilizing surveillance and technical evidence, officers began to piece together the sequence of events.
Their probe revealed a shocking alleged conspiracy. Police detained Ruby, her lover Gaurav, and one other person for intense questioning. It was revealed that Rahul and Ruby had been married for 15 years and were parents to two children—a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter.
The young daughter provided heartbreaking testimony. She told police that her parents often fought and that three people used to visit their house, sometimes bringing her chocolates. Overwhelmed during questioning, the girl broke down and repeatedly stated her mother was involved, urging authorities to "hang everyone responsible."
Evidence Points to a Premeditated, Brutal Crime
On Sunday, police conducted a detailed search of Rahul's house, recovering key pieces of evidence. The items seized included a cot leg, a scooter, a bag, a toilet brush, an iron rod, and an electric heater. Forensic analysis suggests the murder was committed inside the house itself, after which the body was dismembered for disposal.
Authorities are still searching for Rahul's missing head and other body parts. Preliminary findings indicate the murder was allegedly planned along the lines of the notorious Meerut Muskaan case, though an official disclosure on the parallels is still awaited.
The case has stunned the local community in Chandausi and Sambhal, highlighting a chilling premeditation and brutality that mirrors recent horrific crimes in the region. The investigation remains active as police work to solidify the case against the accused.
