Chandigarh Autopsy Report Confirms Murder-Suicide in Butrela Village Deaths
The autopsy report in the case of two suspicious deaths in Butrela village, Sector 41, Chandigarh, has revealed a tragic murder-suicide scenario. According to the postmortem findings, 27-year-old Nagma was strangled to death by her brother-in-law, Murshaleen, who subsequently died by hanging in the same room.
Autopsy Findings and Police Action
Pressure marks were discovered on Nagma's neck during the postmortem examination, which conclusively confirmed the murder. Following the autopsy on Friday, the bodies were handed over to family members for last rites, while viscera samples were sent for further forensic analysis to rule out any other factors.
Initially, the Sector 39 police treated the matter as a case of suspicious deaths. However, after receiving the postmortem report, they officially registered a murder case against the deceased, Murshaleen. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the exact motive and sequence of events leading to this double tragedy.
Background and Incident Details
Investigation revealed that Nagma had been residing with her husband, Faraan, in a rented house at Butrela village for several years. Murshaleen lived separately but visited the household occasionally. On Thursday afternoon, both Nagma and Murshaleen were discovered dead inside the house.
Two children present at the time immediately informed the police about the deaths. Nagma, Faraan, and Murshaleen were originally from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. At the time of the incident, Faraan, who works as an AC mechanic, had travelled to Bijnor for construction work. The couple's two children were sleeping at home when the tragic events unfolded.
The police are continuing their probe into the circumstances surrounding the deaths, focusing on forensic evidence and witness statements to piece together the complete narrative.
