New Delhi: A complaint has been filed against a visually impaired faculty member at a Delhi University college, alleging he made lewd remarks and used abusive language towards students. The complaint, submitted by several students to the college’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), also alleges that some students were given low marks in internal assessments due to personal bias.
ICC Investigation Underway
University officials confirmed that the ICC is examining the allegations and that appropriate action will be taken based on its findings. The committee is also probing a separate complaint from the same college, reported by TOI last week, in which another faculty member was accused of photographing a female student during an examination over her attire.
Timeline for Report Submission
Officials stated that the ICC is investigating both cases and is expected to submit its report by June 20. The findings will be placed before the college’s governing body on June 22 for further action. The faculty member accused in the second case has been barred from entering the campus until the inquiry is completed.
