A couple was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in Bengaluru's Electronics City after they objected to reckless riding on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 8 pm near the Wipro junction when the couple, identified as Sen and his wife, were returning home from work.

Incident Details

According to the police, the couple noticed a group of youths riding motorcycles in a rash and negligent manner, endangering pedestrians and other vehicles. They shouted at the youths to stop their reckless driving. This enraged the youths, who allegedly intercepted the couple's car, smashed its windows, pulled Sen out of the vehicle, and assaulted him. His wife was also pushed and manhandled during the incident.

Police Investigation

The Electronics City police have registered a case based on the couple's complaint. They are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the accused. Senior police officials have assured strict action against the culprits. The couple sustained minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital.
