A woman in Dehradun has alleged that a Rapido driver abandoned her in heavy rain after a dispute over the route. In a social media post, she claimed the driver forced her to get off near Kargi Chowk around 9:30 PM on Thursday.
"I was left stranded in the rain for over 20 minutes before I could find shelter," the woman wrote.
Company Investigation
Rapido responded to the complaint on X (formerly Twitter), stating that they have zero tolerance for such behavior. "We are deeply concerned about this incident and have launched a thorough investigation. Strict action will be taken against the driver if found guilty," a company spokesperson said.
The company also said it has temporarily suspended the driver's account pending the probe. Rapido, which claims to have over 10 million registered drivers, urged passengers to report any issues immediately.

According to the woman's account, she booked the ride using the Rapido app for a short distance. When the driver took a different route, she questioned him, leading to an argument. The driver then stopped the motorcycle and asked her to get off, leaving her in the rain.
The woman's tweet garnered significant attention, with over 5,000 likes and hundreds of shares within hours. Many users expressed support and called for stricter safety measures.
