A tragic road accident claimed the life of a truck driver on National Highway 27 in Assam on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred near N Leikul, close to the area of Jatinga in Dima Hasao district.

In a desperate effort to stop the moving truck, he tried to climb back into the cabin to apply the brakes. During this attempt, he lost his balance and fell onto the road. Tragically, the truck then ran over him, resulting in instantaneous death, as confirmed by witnesses present at the scene.
