Belagavi: A Defence Security Corps (DSC) recruitment rally for ex-servicemen of the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment was conducted at the MLIRC, Belagavi, on Monday and Tuesday. The event allowed hundreds of former soldiers to apply for re-enrolment into the DSC.
The recruitment process was carried out smoothly, adhering to all prescribed norms. Selected candidates will undergo a four-week training program at the DSC Centre in Kannur before being deployed to static Armed Forces establishments across the country. Each deployment will have a tenure of two years at a given station.
Officials from the MLIRC highlighted that re-enrolment in the DSC provides numerous benefits, including financial security, career progression, promotions, MACP benefits, and dual pension. Personnel will also retain service benefits such as medical facilities for themselves and their dependents, leave, travel concessions, housing and ration allowances, children's education support, insurance coverage, and opportunities for advancement, including the possibility of a Permanent Commission (Special List).
