The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the Chief General Manager of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) to appear at its Jalandhar office next week in connection with the allotment of 40 acres of land to a company linked to Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora.

Details of the Summons

ED officials have instructed the PSIEC officer to bring all relevant records, including property documents, sanctions, and allotment letters issued to Ritesh Properties Industries Limited, the company associated with Minister Arora. The company currently operates under the brand name Hampton Sky Realty.

Minister Arora's Arrest and Legal Status

Minister Sanjeev Arora was arrested by the ED from his Chandigarh residence on May 9. He remains in judicial custody. His bail plea was rejected by a special ED court in Gurugram on June 17, citing concerns that he could tamper with evidence.

Previous Raids and Investigation

The ED first conducted raids on properties linked to Arora and his associates in October 2024. A second round of raids occurred in April while Arora was on an Invest Punjab tour in Europe. During a third raid, he was taken into custody.

The investigation focuses on the alleged illegal allotment of prime land to Arora's company, leading to charges of money laundering and corruption.
