Tragic Accident Claims Life of Elderly Domestic Worker in Bhopal

A somber incident unfolded in Bhopal on Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old woman. The victim, identified as Pyari Bai, was allegedly hit by a car while walking on the Subhash Nagar railway overbridge in the Aishbagh area.

The elderly woman, who worked as domestic help in various households, succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the hospital. According to police reports, the accident occurred around 10:30 am on Sunday.

Sequence of Events and Family's Anguish

Pyari Bai had left her home in Rajiv Nagar, MP Nagar, for work at approximately 8:00 am. When she did not return by noon, her son, Ramkripal, grew worried and set out to search for her.

Ramkripal, a daily-wage employee with the municipal corporation, was later informed by an acquaintance about the tragic accident on the overbridge. The driver of the car involved, reported to be a woman, immediately rushed the injured Pyari Bai to a hospital in an attempt to save her life.

Despite these efforts, Pyari Bai could not survive her injuries. Following her death, a grieving Ramkripal approached the Aishbagh police station to file a formal complaint.
