Faridabad Man Narrowly Escapes Shooting At His Home
A 30-year-old man had a close call in Faridabad on Wednesday. Two men allegedly shot at him right in front of his house. The incident happened in Mujhedi village. Thankfully, the shots missed their target completely. The man escaped without a single injury.
Police Register Attempted Murder Case
An FIR was promptly registered at the Sadar Ballabgarh police station. The complaint names two individuals: Gaurav and Sanjay. They are accused of firing at the victim, Rohit. The police have booked them under charges of attempted murder. Authorities confirmed they recovered two empty cartridges from the scene.
Violence Linked to Old Dispute Over DJ Equipment
According to police sources, this was not a random act. The roots of the conflict go back nearly five years. The rivalry reportedly began over a DJ setup. This long-standing enmity finally erupted into violence.
The immediate trigger was a brawl the previous evening. On January 13, the men got into a fight outside a local wine shop. They were reportedly intoxicated at the time. This altercation set the stage for the shooting the next day.
How the Shooting Unfolded
Police provided details of the attack. Rohit, who operates a dairy business, was standing outside his home. His house is located near a farm. Two men arrived on a motorcycle. Without warning, they opened fire. Rohit alleged that four rounds were shot at him.
Miraculously, none of the bullets hit him. The shots also did not damage any nearby buildings. After the attackers fled, Rohit went to the police station to file a formal complaint.
Complaint Omits Key Details of Past Conflict
An interesting detail emerged from the investigation. In his police complaint, Rohit did not mention the existing five-year rivalry. He focused solely on the shooting incident. However, police sources were aware of the deeper background.
Investigators also revealed another layer to the story. The victim himself is not unfamiliar with the legal system. Police records show that Rohit has five or six cases registered against him for assault.
Police Launch Manhunt for Accused
The two accused men, Gaurav and Sanjay, are currently on the run. Police spokesperson SI Yashpal provided an update on the case. "Police teams are conducting searches to arrest the accused, who are currently absconding. Further investigation is underway," he stated.
The search operation is active. Authorities are pursuing all leads to locate and apprehend the suspects. The case remains open as officers continue their probe into the motives and events.
