The complaint alleged that the biological father sexually assaulted his daughter in April 2025. Acting promptly on this information, Chopan police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused father under multiple stringent sections:
- Section 64(2)F and 65(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)
- Section 3/4(2) and 5N/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
The investigating officer conducted a thorough and impartial investigation, gathering sufficient evidence to file a chargesheet. The court subsequently framed formal charges against the accused on January 7, 2026.
